As part of the business program of Moscow Days of the Republic of Bashkortostan, a strategic session titled “The Republic of Bashkortostan and Moscow: creative marketing strategies for generating bilateral tourist flows” was organized by the Moscow City Tourism Committee, ANO Moscow Project Office for Tourism and Hospitality Development, and the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Entrepreneurship and Tourism.

During the session, the participants discussed the current dynamics of bilateral tourist flows between Moscow and the Republic of Bashkortostan and the key products of tourist interest.

The meeting was attended by Tatyana Sharshavitskaya, Deputy Chairperson of the Moscow City Tourism Committee, Nikolay Samoilenko, the Chairman of the Youth Public Chamber at the State Assembly (Kurultay) of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and representatives of tourism business and regional expert community.

Delegates of the Republic of Bashkortostan presented the potential of their region for tourism. Also, the participants discussed the key products, routes, and events interesting for tourists from Moscow and Bashkortostan. A special attention was paid to the Terra Bashkiria Project, the main tourist brand of the Republic run under the slogan “Soul of the Urals. Heart of Eurasia” and aimed at positioning the region on the tourism market. The Toratau and the Yangan Tau Geoparks located in the republic also presented their potential for recreation.

In their turn, workers of the Moscow tourism industry suggested a new vector of presenting the Russian capital to tourists from regions. Representatives of Moscow cultural institutions – the center of oceanography and marine biology “Moskvarium”, Moskva River cable car, the Russian State Library, and other tourist attraction facilities – also presented their projects.

Besides, they discussed important issues of advancing tourism infrastructure, using new technologies for personalizing tourism products, and explored prospects for development of new types of tourism both in Bashkortostan and in Moscow.
On September 18–20, Moscow hosted Days of the Republic of Bashkortostan, which included a series of cultural and business events aimed at strengthening the cooperation between the capital and the region.
