Days of the Omsk Region in Moscow
Within the framework of the business programme of the Days of the Omsk Region, a strategic session was held, “Omsk Region and Moscow: Effective Marketing Strategies for Forming Reciprocal Tourist Flows”. It was arranged jointly by the Moscow City Tourism Committee, ANO Project Office for Moscow Tourism and Hospitality Development and the Ministry of Culture of the Omsk Region.
The participants included delegation of the Ministry of Culture of the Omsk Region headed by its Minister Yuri Trofimov, representatives of the ANO Project Office for Moscow Tourism and Hospitality Development, as well as representatives of the tourist business and regional expert community.
During the strategic session, the participants discussed key tourism products, routes, and events attractive for tourists from Moscow and the Omsk region. Representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Omsk Region held a presentation of the regional tourist potential, “Diverting Trails: Omsk Outlook”. Modern Omsk is home to hundreds of historical and cultural heritage sites, nine of which belong to the category of cultural heritage sites of federal significance.
The session participants also highlighted the importance of educational tourism development. The elaboration of educational and tourism products shall contribute to the development of human capital assets of the younger generation, laying the groundwork of Russian civic identity and familiarisation with the historical and cultural heritage of both the whole country and individual regions of Russia.
Days of the Omsk Region in Moscow are held on September 12–13 and include a series of cultural and business events aimed at strengthening cooperation between the capital and the region.
