Moscow is Presenting Its Potential for Tourism at ITB Asia

Its uniquely designed stand organized by the Moscow City Tourist Committee has become a presentation platform for more than 30 projects, including main tourist attractions, places of interest, tour companies, and hotel clusters of the Russian capital. Among them are festivals of the cycle “Moscow Seasons”, the center of oceanography and marine biology “Moskvarium”, the observation deck “PANORAMA3 60” and other projects.

The potential of the Russian capital for tourism is now being presented at the international travel event ITB Asia in Singapore. As part of this event, the Moscow City Tourism Committee together with Vyacheslav Fetisov, the first ambassador of Moscow, has held #TheLastGame ice hockey game aimed at drawing the public attention to the issue of the global climate change. The game participated in by players from several countries has been played on October 15 with the support from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).

During all three days of the exhibition, the opportunities for tourists in Moscow, its events and cultural projects, are being presented at the stand of the Russian capital. Besides, visitors are welcome to take part in interactive and entertainment activities. For instance, lottery draws at the stand of Moscow are taking place several times a day. The prizes are souvenirs and excursion tickets provided by Moscow tourist attractions. Also, VR and AR activities are organized for guests.

The business program of ITB Asia includes official and business meetings and a panel discussion titled “Unconventional Thinking: Winning the Hearts of MICE Buyers”. Among its participants is Ksenia Boykova, Deputy Director of ANO Moscow Project Office for Tourism and Hospitality Development for international cooperation, conference, and exhibition activities. Among other topics, the panel is devoted to types of thinking and practices characteristic of a successful MICE business.

Until the end of 2019, Moscow will take part in two more exhibitions: World Travel Market (WTM) in London and IBTM World in Barcelona.
